Confidence is the lower mining claim in a series of contiguous claims located we own on the Scott River in Northern California. Claims on this historic gold-producing "big river" are exceptionally rare and are highly coveted by miners who are familiar with this incredibly rich region. This outstanding 20-acre federal gold mining claim takes in over 1,400 feet of river and has rare drive-up access on Scott River Road, and access like this is highly desirable and very uncommon in this mountainous region. The river within the claim contains a series of bends and geological low-pressure areas which form natural gold traps. The claim is located less than a mile from Bridge Flat Campground, but more importantly it's just 25 minutes from the full-service town of Fort Jones. Being this close to supplies makes the mining of this claim highly supportable from a logistics standpoint as many claims in this region are hours from food, fuel, and cell service. Confidence is private enough to be enjoyable yet close enough to town to easily support your operations. Dredging should be back in CA in 2019. The last time permits were issued, the Scott River was open to dredging year-round (rare) with the ability to utilize up to an 8" dredge (very rare). Click on the photo to see more details.

Northern Star is a gorgeous 20 acre federal mining claim on the North Fork Salmon River located within the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, California. The North Fork Salmon River is well known for its rich gravels. Northern Star is just a few miles from the Idlewild National Forest campground and is a quick half hour drive to Etna for all the supplies and support needed. The claim takes in over 1,300' (1,326 to be exact) of river and has outstanding big bends, exposed bedrock, and endless gravel bars offer exciting gold recovery opportunities. This claim offers great privacy as well as extremely rare 2WD "drive up" access off a Forest Service maintained gravel road. There is a fantastic camping area on the claim along the river. Past dredging regulations authorized up to 6" dredges on the North Fork Salmon River with the dredge season lasting about 90 days. There is a strong indication that dredging will return to California in 2019, and this claim is a must-have for anyone interested in dredging on one of the richest rivers in America. This is an outstanding multi-faceted federal mining claim on a highly coveted and historically rich river.Click on the photo to see more details.

Big Bar is a 60-acre federal mining claim on historically rich Scott River in Siskiyou County, California. This unpatented mining claim offers over 1,800 feet of river which runs directly next to the perfectly maintained (paved) Scott River Road. A prominent major bend in the terrain creates a massive low pressure area within the river, creating an outstanding gold deposition environment which has been accumulating gold for eons. The claim is perfectly suited with both closeness to town and amenities (Fort Jones is 25 minutes away) as well as refined camping nearby within the Klamath National Forest at Bridge Flat Campground. Federal Mining Claims on the Scott River are highly sought after and very rare, and this claim is a pure gem. Past dredging regulations authorized up to 8" dredges on the Scott River and it was also opened for year-round dredging. We are all hoping that dredge permits will be issued in 2019, and all signs are pointing towards that happening. This property would fully support the simultaneous operation of multiple large dredges, making it an outstanding base of operations for gold recovery adventures. This massive claim represents excellent value, great access, close proximity to town, and access to great gold in the Scott River. Click on the photo to see more details.

Dogleg Right is a simply massive 80 acre federal mining claim located within the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County, California. This historically rich gold-bearing river is known to contain outstanding paying quantities of gold and has been heralded as one of the best prospecting rivers in Northern California. Dogleg Right captures an amazing 2,200 feet of the Scott River (7 football fields!) and is less than 150' from paved Scott River Road in along most of the clailm. Just minutes from Fort Jones, the location of this claim provides both privacy within the forest and close proximity to the amenities offered in town. Camping is also nearby at Bridge Flat Campground, so the claim owner has a variety of options to choose from while enjoying claim ownership. Past dredging regulations authorized up to 8" dredges on the Scott River and it was also opened for year-round dredging, both are very rare characteristics in California. This property would fully support the simultaneous operation of multiple large dredges (5", 6", and 8"). It is looking very promising that dredging will return to CA in 2019, and this federal mining claim will not remain on the market long once the permitting process is finalized. This massive claim represents an extremely valueable opportunity to own federally protected mineral rights as deeded Real Property on an incredibly historic gold bearing river in a region heralded as one of the richest in North America. Access Rating Table

Access is a major attribute to consider with every mining claim. Most gold bearing regions in the United States are nestled deep in the mountains, and access to the waterways in these regions can be very challenging. Some people think that difficult access means that there is more gold (unmolested property). In some cases Mother Nature has created natural barriers which make mining activities difficult, and we have two claims that have the lowest access rating but probably the highest potential for life-altering gold recovery. Just keep this in mind.

When determining which mining claim is good for you, you need to consider what kind of mining you will want to do, and what kind of access those activies require. The claims we offer on this site have access which ranges from Poor to Outstanding. The prices of mining claims vary based on access, which is a major point to consider and a major factor when considering the price of mining claims within the region. This table describes the access ratings which we assign to each claim based on our own personal knowledge, opinions, and on-site experiences. We recommend you visit claims of interest for yourself before purchasing so that you can make your own determination.

Incredible access, the absolute best you can expect within the region. Drive up access with 2WD normal-clearace vehicle, excellent maintained gravel or paved roads, easy entrance, no steep cliffs or difficult terrain to the water, established camping area directly on site. Parking directly on claim. Extremely rare combination of drive-up access and established onsite camping all within a stone's throw of the water directly within the claim boundaries.
Northern Star
9
Excellent access. Drive up 2WD access with normal clearance vehicle, maintained gravel or paved roads, good entrance with parking on or near the claim with less than 250' to walk from vehicle access area, some terrain to water based on location/elevation of road but still very reasonable access for the region. Established camping areas on the claim (or) there is an established National Forest Campground within 2 miles.
Solomon #1, Solomon #2
8
Very Good access. Drive up 2WD access with normal clearance vehicle, maintained gravel or paved roads, road-side parking or pull-off area for easy offloading within 750' of water (or) some terrain between the road and the water but still accessible, some established trails, camping on-site or established National Forest Campgrounds within 5 miles of the claim.
Dogleg Right, Big Bar, Confidence
7
Above Average access. Drive up 2WD access on the claim and to the water with 2WD normal clearance vehicle, excellent maintained gravel or paved roads, or there is road-side parking or pull-off area on or near the claim for offloading within 1,000' of water on the claim, terrain or moderate banks from road to water, some established trails, camping on-site or established National Forest Campground within 10 miles of the claim.
6
Average access. Drive up 2WD access on the claim and to the water with 2WD normal clearance vehicle, excellent maintained gravel or paved roads, or there is road-side parking or pull-off area on the claim for easy offloading or is within 1,250' of water, terrain or banks from road to water, some trails, camping on-site or established National Forest Campground within 15 miles of the claim.

3
Very Poor access. Gravel roads to the vicinity requiring 4WD vehicle with normal clearance, 1/4 mile or more hike with a moderate hike to the claim. Some steep terrain but passable on foot, existing trail system, parking and offloading area nearby.
2
Difficult access. Gravel roads to the vicinity requiring 4WD vehicle with high clearance, 1/4 mile or more hike and steep to the water. Moderately steep terrain but passable on foot, some trails, take your time and you will be fine. Generally a tough claim to get to with equipment, but possible with caution and multiple trips. Potential for incredible recovery due to difficult access. Parking and offloading area nearby.
Poseidon
